About heat pumps
What is the difference between a heat pump and a furnace?
A heat pump heats and cools from the same outdoor equipment, where a furnace only heats. That makes a heat pump efficient and makes a fault harder to place, because the same unit is doing two jobs.
My heat pump is not cooling properly. Is that the same fault as a heating problem?
It can be, which is why we diagnose across both sides of the system rather than treating it as a cooling call or a heating call.
Do you work on geothermal systems?
Yes. Geothermal HVAC is part of what ACS covers, for homes built or retrofitted for it.
Is heat pump maintenance included in the membership?
Seasonal servicing is part of our three tier maintenance membership program. Tell us what you have and we will go through which tier suits it.
Is the work covered by a warranty?
A two year warranty is advertised on installations and services. The terms that apply to your job come with the documentation for the work carried out.
